The purpose of this research was to gain a deep understanding of the IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) patient journey from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up. The main focus of discussion the UC; however, in this research study also covered CD disease to understand how the patient journey differs at certain junctures.
Some key points were covered from target audience during this important subject:
Gain an understanding of current practice and UC/CD caseloads.
Determine how gastroenterologists classify their UC patients, especially in terms of severity and discuss the burden of disease vs. CD.
key touch points in the UC treatment journey up to and including treatment decisions.
Treatment pathway.
TPP evaluation of draft materials which were in development for a hypothetical future product and compared with current treatments options.
